AmCham China’s Policy Committee and Chinese Government Affairs Committee kicked off 2022 with a ‘Policy Priorities Townhall Meeting’ on January 20. Members representing roughly 40 companies attended the townhall to discuss their current challenges and policy concerns.
At the event, representatives from our Government Affairs & Policy team presented a snapshot of the results from the most recent flash survey and led attendees in a discussion about how AmCham China can best advocate on behalf of member concerns and contribute positively to the bilateral relationship.
What are policy priorities?
The policy priorities provide the chamber with a roadmap of what key advocacy points our membership would like to see. These priorities reflect the opinions of the Chamber’s 3,300 members roughly 900-member companies headquartered not just in the US, but also Europe, Australia, and other parts of Asia. While these priorities are drawn from the data gathered in our Business Climate Survey, White Paper, and other advocacy work – events like these provide our key insights into what our active membership would like to see.
