On Friday, February 10, around 50 AmCham China members gathered together to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities for the year ahead to help shape the upcoming 2023 Policy Priorities.
The Chamber’s Policy Priorities change annually and help guide the chamber’s messaging, goals, and priorities for the year ahead. Last year’s policy priorities focused on encouraging action based engagement between the US and China, resolving regulatory confusion, and encouraging cooperation in areas of global bilateral importance. The full readout of 2022’s priorities can be found here.
At the town hall, members evaluated responses to the Policy Priorities Flash Survey and engaged in round table discussions about their own business challenges and ways to better optimize AmCham China’s position to help address their policy concerns.
As members took turns presenting their small group conclusions at the end of the event, consensus began to emerge on areas of common interest. These conclusions will be used to shape the final 2023 Policy Priorities coming soon!
