On February 5 in Beijing, AmCham China hosted members for the 2024 Policy Priorities Townhall. This annual event serves as a crucial meeting to establish the foundational objectives of the Chamber’s policy, advocacy, and messaging for the year ahead.
The event provided a platform for the Policy Committee to offer insights, analysis, and recommendations to the broader membership. Through collaborative discourse, the AmCham China Government Affairs and Policy team outlined their policy priorities for the upcoming year, setting the stage for focused advocacy efforts.
The Townhall also facilitated discussions where members had the opportunity to voice their perspectives and concerns, ensuring that member concerns are duly reflected in the Chamber’s priorities.
In addition to deliberating on policy priorities, attendees engaged in discussions regarding key advocacy points and messaging strategies to identify the top challenges, desired actions from both the US and Chinese governments, and expectations from AmCham China in enhancing the business operating environment.
In 2024, as with the previous years, AmCham China will remain committed to our core mission to help American companies succeed in China. The insights gathered from the Townhall will inform the compilation of our soon-to-be-released 2024 policy priorities. Click here for a full readout of the Chamber’s 2023 Policy Priorities.
