On May 10, AmCham China’s Education Committee hosted a special half-day event, “Get Ready to Study in the US,” at the Chamber’s Beijing offices, providing students and attendees with a comprehensive guide for prospective international study.
We were also honored to have Erin Metcalf, a public engagement officer currently leading EducationUSA programming at the US Embassy Beijing, and Annie Kennelly, Vice Consul at the US Embassy Beijing, join the event share the latest trends and visa policies for studying in the US.
Following this, Stephanie Tong, Sales Manager at United Airlines, and Cui Tao, Director of Business Development for Mastercard, provided financial and travel security tips.
Finally, during the panel discussion session, Liu was joined by Jingyu Wang, Executive Director of Notre Dame Beijing, University of Notre Dame; Frank Au, Executive Chairman at PacificPine Sports; and Sumin Lai, Director of Client Relations at ETS China. The panelists shared their experiences, insights, and advice on navigating the journey of being an international student in the US.
