From May 30-31, AmCham China’s Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP) co-hosted the 3rd Aviation Logistics Forum with Shenzhen Airport Group and The Boeing Company. This year’s event theme was “Logistics Transform: The Integrated Development of Air Cargo.”
ACP member participants included The Boeing Company, FedEx, Polar Air Cargo, UPS, and United Airlines. Representatives from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) also attended and delivered speeches.
Over the course of two days, the Forum welcomed an impressive gathering of more than 330 attendees, including representatives from Chinese airlines, logistics and supply chain companies, and airports. Notable speakers included ACP industry Co-Chair and Boeing China President Alvin Liu, ACP government Co-Chair and FAA North Asia Senior Representative Noel Arbis, TSA Attaché Sherrie Soto, CAAC Transport Department Deputy Director General Jin Junhao, CAAC Aviation Security Bureau Security Screening Division Director Gu Yi, CAAC Central and Southern Regional Administration Deputy Director Chen Wei, Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Transport Deputy Director Zhang Zhifeng, Shenzhen Airport Group Chairman Shu Yumin, Shenzhen Airport Group General Manager Lin Xiaolong, and Shenzhen Airport Group Air Logistics Director Ying Xuemin.
The agenda featured engaging presentations and panel discussions led by more than 30 experts in the aviation logistics industry from both the US and China. These sessions underscored the profound changes and challenges in the global aviation transportation industry and highlighted the necessity for all stakeholders to collaborate to ensure air cargo safety. Topics covered included Aviation Logistics Development Policies and Trends, Transportation Safety and Security, the Development of Cross-border E-commerce, Optimizing Connectivity and Transportation Networks, and the Development of International Air Cargo Hubs.
The Forum stands as a prime example of ACP’s commitment to promoting aviation safety, security, and efficiency. The foundation of the US-China relationship remains strong, with aviation playing an important and successful role in this partnership.
