On July 6, AmCham China hosted its annual Independence Day party with a backyard BBQ attended by over 250 guests at the JW Marriott in Beijing. The outdoor event was the perfect day out for people of all ages, featuring a children’s area complete with clowns and entertainment, face painting, and arts and crafts stations, as well as live music performances, lucky draws, a buffet, and free-flow beverages!
The annual signature event welcomed the AmCham China community, along with friends and family, to celebrate America’s Independence Day. We were honored to have US Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns join us at the event, along with AmCham China Chair Sean Stein and members of our Board of Governors, including Tony Jiang and Vice Chair Colm Rafferty.
AmCham China Vice President Claire Ma and GAP Manager Elliott Johnson MC’d the much-anticipated lucky draw, where some attendees won spectacular prizes. These included a round-trip ticket to anywhere in the US from United Airlines, a two-night stay in a Horizon Club Deluxe Room from China World Hotel, a two-person afternoon tea package from the Grand Hyatt Beijing, a one-month fitness membership from Traction, and many more!
Additionally, there was a silent auction featuring two grand prizes: a one-night stay in a lake view suite at Sunrise Kempinski Hotel and a round-trip business class ticket from China to the US provided by United Airlines.
Thank you everyone who attended to celebrate America’s 248th birthday and made this July 4th celebration so spectacular! And, a special thank you to the JW Marriott for hosting us at their exceptional venue.
AmCham China would like to extend a special thank you to the generous sponsors of this event:
