Wenjie Ma, The Tianjin Juilliard School
Wenjie oversees fundraising and advancement efforts at The Tianjin Juilliard School, collaborating with the CEO and Artistic Director to build relationships with sponsors, donors, and stakeholders in government, cultural, and corporate sectors. His efforts secure financial support for scholarships and strategic partnerships.
As Secretary General of the Tianjin Juilliard School Education Development Foundation, he has secured significant donations, including major gifts from the Bank of China and the Tanoto Foundation for international graduate student scholarships. He also leads the Tianjin Juilliard School Council, promoting collaboration in the global arts and education sectors.
Wenjie’s innovative initiatives include establishing the TJS Foundation and forming partnerships with major institutions like the Philadelphia Orchestra and Carnegie Hall, enhancing the school’s financial stability and influence.
Before TJS, Wenjie had a distinguished career at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing, focusing on international tours and cultural exchange. He also gained experience at Carnegie Hall in government relations and fundraising.
Wenjie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Economics and Trade from China Foreign Affairs University. He is fluent in Mandarin and English, with proficiency in French, providing a global perspective in arts education.
