Cathy Yan, PPG
Cathy Yan, joined PPG in 1997 as the Director of Human Resources in China. Since 2007 , Cathy has been the General Manager of Corporate and Government Affairs, Asia Pacific and the Chairman of PPG’s Asia Pacific Diversity Committee, responsible for government affairs, corporate marketing communication, internal and external communication and corporate social responsibility in Asia Pacific. Cathy is the first woman and also the first Chinese to enter PPG Asia Pacific Leadership Team. She is the Vice President of Tianjin Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, senior consultant of Tianjin government Foreign Investment Office, member of Tianjin CPPCC, Vice President of China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations.
Cathy always commits to building a communication platform between enterprises and local governments and communities, actively promoting the continuous investment and business development of PPG and other foreign-invested enterprises in Asia Pacific and China. In 2017, she was invited by Schwarzman College of Tsinghua University to be an interviewer for the Global Leadership Program. In 2019, Cathy was appointed as the Distinguished Professor at the United Nations University for Peace.
