Jeffrey Bernstein (pictured above), currently an individual member and the Chair of AmCham China’s Southwest Chapter, highlighted the intense challenges in the US-China relationship and advocated for growth opportunities in China. Previously the Chair of AmCham Shanghai (2025-06) and a Co-Chair of AmCham China’s Healthcare Committee (2023), Bernstein emphasized a data-driven approach for the Chamber as a moderating influence amid the political rhetoric.

Matt Roberts (pictured above) from Dolby Laboratories discussed the shrinking space for dialogue and emphasized the importance of sustaining the US-China relationship. Drawing from his roles at USITO and Oracle, Matt urged members to take a message of community and cooperation to both governments.

Travis N. Tanner (pictured above) from the GreenPoint Group, riffed off the “explosive” nature of his initials – TNT – which combined with the Board of Governors – BOG – would form a powerful combination as advocates for AmCham China. He pledged to leverage relationships across both the US and Chinese capitals, drawing on his experience supporting US companies in China and demonstrating his commitment to the Chamber’s mission as a Co-Chair of the Policy Committee.

Jean-Marc Taton (pictured above) emphasized his three decades of experience at ExxonMobil, including roles in France, the US, Singapore and Saudi Arabia (where he also served with the local AmCham). Jean-Marc emphasized his expertise in energy, energy transition, low-carbon, investment, and manufacturing as he looks forward to supporting AmCham China’s team with his broad experience.

Becky Xia (pictured above) from Fragomen highlighted her role as Co-Chair of the Chamber’s Visa Sub-Committee as she proposed initiatives to streamline work authorization for employees in China. Becky also pledged to promote membership from diverse demographics, and expand culture and community outreach programs, saying she wants to make AmCham China a more inclusive community for young talent.
