Global Supply Chain Seminar and 2025 Navigator Program Launch

On November 26, AmCham China hosted the Global Supply Chain Seminar and 2025 AmCham China Navigator Program Launch at the China International Exhibition Center in Shunyi, Beijing. The event brought together key industry leaders, including representatives from Fortune 500 companies in advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and agriculture, to address pressing topics in global supply chain management and to celebrate the launch of the 2025 Navigator Program.

The seminar kicked off with opening remarks from AmCham China President Michael Hart, and Secretary General of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Sun Xiao. Both Hart and Sun emphasized the critical role of global supply chains in driving worldwide economic growth and the value of cross-industry collaboration.

Panel Discussion: Supply Chain Management Global Trends
Moderated by Mars China’s Director for Public Affairs Anna E, the panel also featured expert insights from Lawrence Lou, Supply Chain Project Director, Cummins China; Tony Zeng, Chief Revenue Officer for SAP Greater China’s Digital Supply Chain, SAP; and Steven Lin, Senior Manager, Global Field Operations for China, Southeast Asia, and Oceania at Boeing. The discussion explored key trends, including resilience-building strategies, local operational successes, and innovative talent development practices.

2025 AmCham China Navigator Program Launch

The event concluded with the official launch of the 2025 Navigator Program by AmCham China President Michael Hart and Vice President Claire Ma. The Navigator Program is dedicated to cultivating a dynamic cohort of young professionals and leaders capable of propelling the AmCham China community forward. The program aims to nurture professionals passionate about manufacturing & supply chain by fostering close engagement with members and senior leaders of the AmCham China community and leading companies in the supply chain industry.

This six-month program selects qualified China-based applicants of all nationalities working in different companies, industries, and with varying experience levels. The program is designed to recognize professionals with profound insights and strategic practices within the manufacturing and supply chain industry, empowering candidates to thrive both in China’s and the world’s dynamic business landscapes.

Prior to the launch, senior supply chain consultant and 2024 Navigator Program alum Chuck Brown and Nokia’s Head of Private Wireless Rui Bai shared their insights on the importance of the Program, highlighting best practices for aligning education and training with the evolving demands of supply chain roles.
