On November 29, AmCham China, Tianjin hosted its Annual General Meeting and Thanksgiving Party at the Shangri-La Hotel Tianjin. The event brought together 260 members and friends to celebrate the year’s achievements, embrace the spirit of Thanksgiving, and look forward to the future.
During the Annual General Meeting, Tianjin Chapter Chair Marcus Williams expressed heartfelt gratitude to members, sponsors, and friends for their steadfast support. Co-Vice Chair Cathy Yan highlighted the 40-year legacy of member companies in Tianjin, emphasizing the collaborative efforts to build a brighter future for the city.
The event featured a keynote address by Luan Jianzhang, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, who underscored the importance of cultural exchange activities in strengthening ties between China and the United States.
A special moment of recognition honored the 2023–2024 Executive Committee members for their dedication and contributions. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Black Friday Market offered a lively mix of food stalls, global and local businesses, and drink vendors, bringing the Thanksgiving tradition to life.
The Thanksgiving Day Parade was another highlight, featuring marching bands, cartoon characters, and corporate teams. Participants showcased creativity with mini floats, uniforms, and gift distributions, culminating in Boeing Tianjin Composites being awarded the Best Parade Team.
The evening reached its peak with a circle swing dance, filling the room with laughter and cheer. The event concluded with a series of lucky draws.
