On January 24, AmCham China launched the 2025 China Business Climate Survey Report in Tianjin, bringing together members, government officials, representatives from like-minded Chambers of Commerce, and business professionals.
Yang Liu, Deputy Secretary General of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government and Director General of the Tianjin Investment Promotion Bureau, delivered the opening remarks. She expressed her pleasure in meeting with AmCham China Tianjin members ahead of the Spring Festival and shared her optimism about Tianjin’s market and development prospects. Yang reaffirmed her commitment to supporting foreign-invested enterprises and emphasized the importance of cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and the US, advocating for mutual respect and deeper cultural understanding.
The event was moderated by AmCham China Tianjin Chapter Chair Marcus Williams. AmCham China President Michael Hart also spoke and provided an insightful briefing on the survey data, highlighting that despite ongoing challenges, China remains a key market for the American business community. Manager of Government Affairs and Policy at AmCham China, Will Hao then presented an exclusive analysis of Tianjin-specific findings, offering a comparative perspective between Tianjin’s business climate and national trends.
