The city of Dalian was alight on December 7th as The Castle Hotel, a Luxury Collection, Dalian in conjunction with AmCham China, Northeast Chapter and the International Club of Dalian held the 11th Annual Winter Ball. Taking place at the stunning Castle Hotel, over 420 guests enjoyed a night of dining, music, dancing and performances.
Set to the theme of City Nights, the Winter Ball highlighted the continuous improvements the hosting organizations were able to bring to the event. Guests were greeted to holiday decorations in the gorgeous lobby. Upstairs, the Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School choir and band serenaded guests while famous cityscapes served as a background for photos while others tried their luck at the side poker table.
The night was kicked off by AmCham Northeast Chairman Michael Anderson who introduced his successor, Ladon Ghalili. Ladon will serve as the first ever Chairwoman for AmCham Northeast. Both Michael and Ladon began the night with a toast and introduced the entertaining masters of ceremonies Dr. Homayun Gharavi and Ms. Tina Ding. Most notably, the night would not have been possible without the assistance and support of Madam Zhang Jia Feng, Chairperson of Yi Fang Hotel Management. Moreover we would like to thank our VIP guests from the U.S. Consulate of Shenyang, the Consul General Nancy Abella and Vice Consul Rashad Jones.
The amazing spread of food and drink was set alongside outstanding performances by Sichuan Opera face changers and the Dalian acrobats. As dinner concluded, FLD5 Band’s tunes and Lily Bear’s salsa dancers got partiers on their feet and to the dance floor. DJ Ice kept the party going late into the night with beats made for dancing. In keeping with the theme, the event showcased the best of what Dalian city can offer as nightlife.
