It's that time of year again when you get to decide the direction of AmCham China's future by voting for the members of the AmCham China Board of Governors! The Board holds a pivotal role by guiding the operations of the Chamber and ensuring AmCham China's actions are in line with our members' needs for advocacy, information, business development, and professional growth.

But while the Board helps to guide our path, it’s your vote that chooses the Board, so please do take the time to make your vote count!

A SurveyMonkey ballot has been sent to each of the Chamber's corporate member voting representatives and individual voting members via an email from AmCham China Notice with detailed instructions on how to vote. Please cast your vote by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11.

You will have two chances to meet the candidates in person, including one at a Meet-the-Candidates Campaign Mixer on November 14, and at this year’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, November 21.

As per consitutional changes voted in by members last year, this year's election will be staggerd and include only seven open board seats, with the following board members serving the second year of their terms in 2020 (see the AmCham China Constitution for more information):

  • Mark Duval
  • Greg Gilligan
  • Su Cheng Harris-Simpson
  • Jeff Layman
  • Albert Xie
  • Gloria Xu
  • Kenneth Zhou

Nine candidates will be in the running for the seven open board seats. Provided below are the biographies and campaign statements of the nine candidates running for the Board of Governors. The information is also accessible through the URLs provided on the SurveyMonkey ballot.

If you have any questions, please contact Henri Tan htan@amchamchina.org. We will respond to your inquiries within 48 working hours.

Best regards,
