After a week of spring cleaning and redecorating, the AmCham China offices were finally prepared for the first ever Open Day. Given free reign over the decorations, AmCham China’s dynamic designer duo of Tom Jin and Tim Zhang took a break from the 2017 White Paper to update the look of the front office. The centerpiece of the entire update – an enormous reminder to staff and guests alike of our mission:
To help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, information, networking, and business support services.
On Monday, AmCham China hosted its first ever Open Day for new and prospective members to learn more about the chamber. The event, which was attended by more than 40 people, allowed guests a behind-the-scenes look at how our committees and departments work to help American businesses succeed in China. Notably, the attendees had a chance to meet with program coordinators relevant to their business activities, and networking opportunities with long-time members.
“The event was definitely more popular than we had anticipated,” said Graham Norris, the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications. “We sold out the event almost immediately, and are already planning similar events for the future based on the feedback we received.” Alan Beebe, the President of AmCham China, was also on hand to mingle with attendees and help new members find ways to become more involved.
