AmCham China Northeast Chapter brought 30 representatives to the Dalian Euro-USA Enterprises Forum, hosted by Dalian Municipal People’s Government on Jan. 18.
Vice Mayor Lin Lu listened to all the comments from the business community on how to improve the business environment in Dalian and the difficulties companies face in the daily operations. Leif Rogers, Chairman of the AmCham China Northeast Chapter's Executive Committee, highlighted 12 questions, focusing his attention on pollution, labor costs, traffic congestion – key pain points expressed in member surveys. Relevant officials provided the solutions and suggestions to Rogers's questions, point by point.
During the forum, three AmCham China Members companies were recognized as Outstanding Foreign Invested Enterprises in Dalian: Intel Semiconductor (Dalian), Goodyear Dalian Tire Company and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
“We are extremely pleased with the meeting today, and we look forward to further strengthening our relationship and cooperation between AmCham China and the Dalian Municipal People’s Government,” Rogers said.
