The Central China Chapter cohosted an inter-chamber networking night April 16, which featured speeches about intellectual property rights, foreign investment and the real estate market in Wuhan.
More than 70 members and guests came out to the Howard Johnson Pearl Hotel for the event, which also included the Canadian Trade Office, China-Britain Business Council, Hong Kong Commerce Chamber and Netherlands Business Support Office.
Helen Hu, member of the Central China Chapter's Executive Committee, led the event. After Hu's opening remarks, Judith van de Bovenkamp, Chief Representative of Netherlands Business Support Office, Wuhan Office shared her insights on intellectual property rights. David Liu from Jun He Law Offices Shanghai then gave a presentation on the Draft Foreign Investment Law, touching on the major changes on the way such as tax changes which will affect inter-company payables. Adam Huang, General Manager of DTZ Wuhan, analyzed the development trends of the Wuhan real estate market.
Closing out the night was a lively lucky draw, wherein six members and invited guests took home buffet dinner coupons, a night's stay in a deluxe hotel suite and bottles of premium red wine.
