On June 7, AmCham China and Meta co-hosted the first event of the “Cross-Border Business (CBB) Academy” in Chengdu in 2023. The CBB Academy aims to help Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from various industries understand the characteristics of overseas markets, gain insights into international consumer trends, and provide effective overseas marketing solutions.
During the event, AmCham China Vice President Claire Ma delivered the opening speech, warmly welcoming the attending SME representatives and expressing the Chamber’s excitement in supporting Meta’s nationwide series of free training activities. While AmCham China traditionally focused on assisting US companies in China, providing aid to Chinese enterprises venturing into the US and other international markets is crucial for fostering bilateral business relations and laying the groundwork for broader connections.
Carol Quan, Channel Sales Director of Meta Greater China, highlighted Meta’s decade-long journey of witnessing and enabling numerous Chinese companies to evolve from small manufacturers to exporters with independent intellectual property rights and recognizable brands. Some of these companies have even emerged as global leaders in their respective industries. Looking ahead, Meta, armed with its innovative technologies and profound international market insights, aims to empower more Chinese businesses to go global, integrate locally, and embark on successful journeys through Meta’s official resellers in China.
The event also featured presentations by overseas marketing experts from HuntMobi, the official reseller of Meta in China, who shared valuable practical insights on overseas expansion with the participating companies.
AmCham China and Meta are committed to supporting exports and empowering Chinese SMEs in overseas markets. From July to November 2023, we will organize six CBB Academy events in Beijing and Guangzhou. For more detailed information and registration, please follow Meta’s official WeChat account.
