On September 8 and 9, AmCham China Vice Chair Roberta Lipson and Central China Chapter Chair Steve Carpenter led a delegation of representatives from various industries to visit Changsha.
Over the two-day trip, delegates met and held discussions with several key government officials, including Hunan Province Party Secretary Shen Xiaoming, Vice Governor Cao Zhiqiang, Director of the Hunan Commerce Department Shen Yumou, Director of the Hunan Foreign Affairs Office Xu Zhengxian, Chairman of the Hunan CCPIT Yang Aiyun, and Vice Mayor of the Changsha Municipal Government Kang Zhenlin. The delegation also participated in a roundtable meeting with US Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns, engaged with the US Consulate General in Wuhan, and joined a field visit organized by Changsha CCPIT.
