On June 19, an AmCham China delegation led by President Michael Hart, Chair of the Northeast Chapter Dr. Richard Swann, and Vice Chair Yun A. Duan, visited the Liaoning Provincial Government, where they met with Governor Li Lecheng. The delegation included representatives from 10 member companies from Shenyang, Dalian, Beijing, and Tianjin.
For his part, Dr. Swann thanked the Liaoning Provincial Government for its efforts to facilitate communication between government and businesses, which has greatly aided enterprise development in the region. He stressed that the Northeast Chapter would continue to strengthen cooperation with various departments of the Liaoning Provincial Government to jointly promote the further development of foreign enterprises in Liaoning. At the end of the meeting, Michael Hart presented Governor Li Lecheng with the 2024 American Business in China White Paper.
Liaoning Province-Dialogue with AmCham China Enterprises
During the visit, the delegation attended a dialogue session chaired by Cui Changzheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Liaoning Provincial Government.

At the seminar, enterprise representatives shared their operational status, the challenges they face, and their future development plans. Government representatives provided on-site answers and participated in in-depth discussions on the issues raised by the enterprises. This open and honest exchange not only strengthened the enterprises’ confidence in the investment environment of Liaoning Province but also demonstrated the provincial government’s support for foreign enterprises.
