The unprecedented flooding in Henan province in July has caused widespread damage to the region, causing significant fatalities and displacing millions of people from their homes.
Over the past few weeks alone, our member companies have made donations to support Henan totaling more than RMB 135 million. This includes both cash donations and in-kind contributions, including water, food, clothing, relevant equipment, and more. This number reflects only the small portion of the total amount of support that we have been able to tally so far.
“Our hearts are with the many families in Henan whose lives have been disrupted and the emergency workers who have been working tirelessly to provide relief during these difficult times,” said Greg Gilligan, AmCham China Chairman. “AmCham China represents US and multinational companies across the country, including a Chapter in Central China. Our member companies and their employees very much consider themselves an integral part of Chinese society, and we are proud of their contributions. We continue to encourage our members to show their support.”
Below is a partial list of our member companies who have made significant donations. Many more member companies have also made contributions but prefer to remain anonymous. We will continue to update this list as we receive more information. If you have not yet provided your company’s information and would like to do so, please enter the details here.
