On November 24, AmCham China, Tianjin held its 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Thanksgiving Dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel Tianjin with 220 guests in attendance.
The event featured a review of the Chapter’s work over the past year, awards ceremony, festive performances by the Graduate Brass Quintet of the Tianjin Juilliard School, a delicious turkey feast, and as always, a prize raffle.
AmCham China, Tianjin Chairman Marcus Williams opened the AGM and expressed his sincere gratitude to members, sponsors, and guests for their support of the Tianjin Chapter. He Zhineng, Deputy Director General of Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce, provided opening remarks in which he said that, over many years of cooperation, the Bureau of Commerce and AmCham China, Tianjin have established a stable relationship and built a foundation of mutual trust and communication. He expressed the hope that these lines of communication will stay open and the two organizations will continue to work together to better serve foreign businesses in Tianjin.
During the Thanksgiving style meal, Williams shared an overview of the Chapter’s achievements in 2022. He highlighted engagement with local government and expressed thanks to the outgoing 2021-2022 Executive Committee members. Michael Hart, President of AmCham China joined the event virtually to announce the newly elected 2023-2024 Tianjin Executive Committee Chair, Co-Vice Chairs, and Committee Co-chairs.
