AmCham China, Tianjin, hosted its 2023 Annual General Meeting and Thanksgiving gathering on the night of Friday, November 24th, at The St. Regis Tianjin. This special event included the usual yearly reviews and insights for the upcoming year, the Black Friday Market, Thanksgiving Parade, a delectable turkey feast, and an exciting lucky draw with various prizes.
Black Friday Market
The Black Friday Market, lined with stalls and vendors offering a diverse range of products at discounted prices, added a lot of buzz to the day. The market was filled with the tempting aromas of food stalls, well-known local businesses, and international brands.
Thanksgiving Parade
This year’s Thanksgiving Parade was a big hit, bringing together people from all walks of life to celebrate the holiday tradition. The festive atmosphere was evident as the parade featured a marching band, cartoon characters, and colorful floats, with attendees joining in to represent their companies.
Annual General Meeting
The event also marked the Tianjin Chapter’s Annual General Meeting to celebrate the Chapter’s work over the past year. AmCham China President Michael Hart kicked off the ceremony with opening remarks. Hart was followed by Marcus Williams, Chairman of AmCham China, Tianjin, who expressed his sincere gratitude to members, sponsors, and friends for their support to the Chamber over the past year.
Guest speaker, Zhineng He, Deputy Director General of Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce, extended his heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable support and collaboration provided by AmCham China, Tianjin, in 2023.
Williams returned to review the chapter’s accomplishments, highlighting this year’s outstanding events and engagement with the local government. Subsequently, AmCham China President Michael Hart acknowledged the contributions of Executive Committee members and Committee Co-chairs, thanking them for their valuable input and efforts in leading the committee toward achieving its goals.
