The inaugural AmCham China Tianjin 2023 HR Forum wrapped up on October 18, 2023, at the Shangri-La Tianjin, bringing together over 70 HR professionals to deliberate on the themes of “Integration between Industry and Education” and “Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement.”
The first segment of the forum centered on “Integration of Industry and Education.” Chuck Yang, Co-chair of the Tianjin Education Committee of AmCham China, Tianjin, and the founder and president of Fayao Education Group, commenced the proceedings with an opening speech. Notably, Pan Haisheng, Director of the National Vocational Education Industry-Education Integration Think Tank and professor at Tianjin University Education College, elucidated the industry-education integration policy and implementation plan. Bai Jie, Director of the School-Enterprise Cooperation and Training Department at Tianjin Light Industry Vocational Technical College, and Sha Nan, Director of the Cooperative Education Office and Director of the International Exchange Office of Tianjin Vocational University, showcased commendable projects bridging the gap between educational institutions and enterprises.
Further enriching the discourse, Linda Liu, Co-chair of AmCham China Tianjin Women Professionals Committee, and Director of Human Resources at NXP Semiconductors (Tianjin), Sylvia Ren, Senior Manager of Talent and Development at OTIS ELEVATOR (CHINA) COMPANY LIMITED, and Leo Yuan, Founder of Leying (Tianjin) Education Technology, shared successful cases of school-enterprise integration. They also offered innovative ideas and methodologies for companies seeking to recruit and cultivate talent effectively.
The second half of the forum delved into strategies for “Reducing Costs and Increasing Efficiency.” Selina Shen, Vice President and General Manager of the Flexible Employment Division at CDP Group, delivered a keynote speech, providing companies with insights into cost reduction and efficiency solutions within the context of rapid change. Ryan Xu, Solution Consultant at Moka, elaborated on enhancing the process and efficiency of corporate recruitment through a digital AI perspective.
The panel discussion featuring practical cases of cost reduction and efficiency improvement, led by Ivy Liu, Senior Vice President of Organizational Management and Human Resources at CanSino Biologics, Jason Wang, Co-founder & CEO of Yunshanggong, and Lijuan Zhao, Director of Corporate Operations and Labor Law Department of Winners Law Firm, ended the Forum on a high note.
