Over the past week, AmCham China participated in three important engagements on behalf of our membership. First, President Michael Hart met with Yang Wanming, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Second, Vice Chair Gloria Xu attended the 10th International Forum on Fair Competition Policy and the National Fair Competition Conference of China. And finally, President Michael Hart also spoke at the 5th annual China Quality Conference.
AmCham China President met with Yang Wanming, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries
On Sep 12, 2023，AmCham China President Michael Hart led a group of member companies to the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) to present AmCham China’s annual White Paper. The two parties exchanged views on US-China economic and trade relations.
CPAFFC President Yang Wanming welcomed the AmCham China delegation. President Yang recognized the crucial role AmCham China has played in promoting the development of China-US economic and trade relations, and expressed his appreciation for the long-standing support and participation of AmCham China’s member companies.
AmCham China President Michael Hart expressed that the Chamber will continue its role as being a vital link for the American business community with both the US and Chinese governments, contributing to the enhancement of communication between the two countries. AmCham China will continue strengthening exchanges with the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and contribute to the development of US-China relations.

On September 1, at the invitation of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), Michael Hart, President of AmCham China, attended the 5th China Quality Conference in Chengdu and delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony as a representative of the business community.
