Campaign Statement
Dear Fellow AmCham China Members,
This is Tony Jiang from Intel. I am running for the 2023 AmCham Board of Governors and would like to seek for your support and vote.
Currently, I am Vice President of Intel for China Government Affairs and Associate General Counsel of Intel Legal & Policy Group. I currently oversee Intel China Government Affairs group, which is responsible for government relations, competition policy, trade policy, technical policy & standard affairs in China.
Outside of Intel, I am on the Board of USITO (United States Information Technology Office) and am very keen in driving improving policy and regulations for the ICT industry in China as well as fostering deep and enduring relationships with Chinese and U.S. government, academia, and other industry groups.
Facing the dynamic and challenging political environment, government relations/engagement, policy landscape and trending, understanding of the macro environment, economy trends and supply chain become even more critical to the success of our member’s business in China. The world is at the precipice of the digital renaissance. Technologies like 5G, cloud, AI, edge are set to transcend and transform the world and the way we communicate.
I’d like to express my sincere wish to be elected as part of the AmCham Board of Governor. As Vice President of a world-leading tech company, I wish and also believe my knowledge and experience will contribute values to all AmCham members. If elected, I aim to bring my knowledge and experience crossing government relations, various policy domains, standard, legal, M&A etc. to the benefit of all AmCham members, drive strategic development of AmCham in China and help to build consensus among industry cohorts, facilitating mutual understanding and constructive engagement at the AmCham Board level to navigate this complex time. Let’s together help AmCham continue its ascension as the most impactful Chamber in China.

Biography
Tony Jiang is the Vice President for government affairs in China, and Associate General Counsel in Legal & Policy Group of Intel Corporation. Tony currently oversees the China Government Affairs group, which is responsible for government relations, competition policy, trade policy, technical policy & standard affairs in China. Tony is a member of the Intel China leadership team.
Tony joined Intel in 2015 and has taken various roles in the company including Antitrust Counsel, Legal Policy Director, Managing Director of Government Affairs before appointed as Vice President. Prior to joining Intel, Tony worked at Alibaba Group as senior policy adviser. Before that, he spent 11 years in a central government department, where he gained rich experience in legal, trade, competition policy and international affairs.
Tony earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in law from Zhejiang University. He also holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of International Business and Economics.
