Tony Jiang, Intel China
Campaign Statement
Dear AmCham China Members,
As we look ahead to 2025, I am excited to announce my candidacy for the AmCham China Board of Governors. The coming years present both challenges and incredible opportunities, and I am eager to continue contributing to our community during this critical time.
In my role as Vice President of Intel for China Government Affairs and Associate General Counsel, I have had the privilege of overseeing crucial government relations, trade policy, and regulatory affairs. My experience spans both the public and private sectors, deepening my understanding of the complex landscape in which we operate, particularly as emerging technologies like AI, 5G, and cloud computing reshape industries globally and in China.
Although I will be based in Washington, D.C., I will continue to return to China on a regular basis. This unique positioning allows me to offer a well-rounded perspective, drawing on insights from both the U.S. and China. As someone with a foot in both worlds, I am able to bring Washington D.C. views and balanced opinions that will benefit the board in navigating the intricate dynamics of U.S.-China relations.
AmCham China has always played a pivotal role in fostering dialogue between U.S. businesses and Chinese government authorities. In an ever-evolving geopolitical landscape, it is crucial that we remain proactive in building bridges, promoting transparency, and driving strategic development. My key priorities, if elected, will be:
- Strategic Development: Enhancing AmCham’s strategic initiatives to align with emerging trends, particularly in areas like data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaboration: Fostering deeper partnerships between U.S. businesses and Chinese government agencies to ensure constructive engagements.
- Education and Support: Creating task forces and working groups to provide real-time regulatory updates and offer training programs to support businesses as they adapt to the evolving market landscape.
As a long-standing member of AmCham China, I am deeply committed to the success of our organization and its members. I bring with me a global perspective, grounded in the realities of both the Chinese and U.S. environments. Together, we can continue to grow, innovate, and strengthen our community.
Thank you for your support and trust.
Sincerely,
Tony Jiang
