AmCham China Central China Chapter, in cooperation with the China-Britain Business Council Wuhan Office, Canadian Commercial Corporation Wuhan Representative Office, and Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Wuhan successfully held the Inter-Chamber Summer Networking on August 2 at Wuhan New World Hotel. The event attracted more than 60 distinguished guests from about 40 companies and organizations, including US Consul General Jamie Fouss.
Steve Carpenter, Chairman of Central China Chapter, delivered opening remarks for the event, and welcomed all the attendees from member companies, partnering organizations, and their guests. Rounds of applause were given in recognition of the four hosts of the mixer.
To start the event, Force International Fencing Center gave a comprehensive introduction to fencing with an exciting live demonstration. Audiences enthusiastically clapped for the fencers’ impressive performance.
Shirley Fu, Director of Savills Property Services (Wuhan) Company Limited, then delivered a speech entitled 1H/2018 Wuhan Property Market Overview. People were drawn into the topic by Shirley’s unique viewpoints and particular expertise.
The third speaker for the evening was Lucas Driggers, a professional wine and spirits taster. He showcased several types of whiskey and taught the guests how to define the best whiskey and taste the spirit properly.
Then came the eagerly awaited networking portion of the evening. Guests mingled with old and new business contacts whilst enjoying delicious food and high-end whiskey. Guests made full use of this fantastic opportunity to meet business professionals from a wide range of industries and sectors. The event was embraced with positive responses. Guests were reluctant to leave until an hour after the scheduled evening close.
