Chamber Attends MFA Event on Hainan Free Trade Port

On December 4, AmCham China President Michael Hart and Vice President Claire Ma attended a Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) event introducing the Hainan Free Trade Port to the global stage. The event focused on the theme, “Local Practice of Chinese Modernization: Hainan Free Trade Port, New Era, New Mission, New Opportunities.”

The event was co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People’s Government of Hainan Province, with distinguished guests in attendance including Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who delivered a keynote address. Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee Feng Fei and Governor of Hainan Province Liu Xiaoming were also in attendance and provided comprehensive remarks and presentations. Representatives from the Diplomatic Corps also contributed their perspectives on the initiative.
