Today, companies of all sizes and industries are facing significant challenges in strengthening business performance and sustaining employee productivity amidst the continued disruptions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. What specific insights and/or topics are you most looking forward to discussing at this year’s HR Conference?
Wei Wei: Digital transformation of a company not only needs diligent organization and design, but also requires active and attentive management during its transition phase. Through our discussion, we aim to tackle topics such as productivity analysis through a digital perspective, technology’s role in maximizing human productivity, and the integration of technology into HR management.
You’ve held senior management positions for over a decade, providing expertise for hundreds of large and medium-size enterprises in China in fields of organization and human resource transformation. How are MSEs adapting during this time of rapid digital transformation?
Wei Wei: Plainly, it is crucial for an enterprise to embrace digital transformation and take the leap forward. Firstly, it is necessary for an enterprise to be bold and curious, welcoming of the new age of technology and business ideas. Secondly, it benefits an enterprise to utilize and leverage the larger digital ecosystem while gradually developing your own. Additionally, it is important to build an adaptive organization with a top-down and innovative mentality. Lastly, enterprises should be constantly aware of related policies and regulations during periods of digital transformation.
From the perspective of a founder and CEO, what are your predictions for the future role of HR as organizations adapt to the new labor landscape?
Wei Wei: In my opinion, from human resource management to customer experience to business operations, each aspect of an enterprise is quantifiable. Each piece of data can aide in business decisions, build a more sustainable and stable management, and establish a highly productive and functioning system.
