On September 11, the AmCham China Education Committee hosted a roundtable seminar, “Future Education and Workforce Skills: Where Next?”, at the Chamber’s Beijing offices.
To kick off the session, Joel Butterly, Co-Founder and CEO of InGenius Prep, and Stephen Taylor, Director of Innovation in Learning and Teaching at the Western Academy of Beijing, presented from different perspectives. Key topics they addressed included:
- Insights from top university admissions data on the future workplace.
- How Chinese families are preparing for future uncertainties.
- Trends and innovations in education pathways.
- The critical attributes needed for future success in an unpredictable world.
During the panel discussion, Mark Baker, International Principal at 3e International School, joined as a panelist, with Hoffen Guo, Head of Partnerships and Operations at Udemy China, moderating the session. They shared their experiences and perspectives on emerging trends in education and the future workforce.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, followed by a networking opportunity where attendees, including industry peers and education leaders, connected and exchanged ideas.
