Our event on Women's Health Matters went so well (read more below) that we’re going to expand it into a series. But we need your help.
We have created a survey on what topics we should discuss at the next events in the series, and would like to invite you to take part by scanning the QR code. Please also send this to your friends – everyone who takes part has the chance of winning tickets to the next event!
Our first event on March 30 had the theme “Enjoy health and quality of life in Beijing” and was organized by AmCham China’s Women’s Professional Committee. And the audience loved it!
“I learnt a lot from this event. And I have more to share with my family and other girlfriends,” said Tina Wang, a 30-year-old professional woman who attended the event.
We invited three women’s health professionals: Lucy Chen, a Family Doctor in maternal and child health specialist at International SOS shared Vitamin D and Calcium Deficiency Prevention; Xiaoxue Huang, a Family Medicine Physician at United Family Healthcare, spoke on Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening and Prevention; and Emily Kara, Doctor, Family Medicine Department at OASIS Healthcare, talked about Health in preconception and pregnancy stages of life.
The presentation was followed by a discussion facilitated by SuCheng Harris-Simpson, Co-chair of the Women’s Profession Committee, who encouraged a lively debate among attendees and health experts on women-related health issues including:
-Mental Health (depression, anxiety, stress)
-Pregnancy after 35
-Contraception
-Discussion on miscarriages
-Psychological health
-Health and wellness for older women (for mothers and mothers-in-law)
-Healthy (menstrual) cycle for single ladies
-Health for babies (food, breastfeeding, formula, safety regulations)
-Menopause (sharing experiences)
-Balancing motherhood and career (experience sharing, advice)
Wow! That’s a lot of women’s health-related issues! And you are probably interested in some of the above topics and want to hear advice from experts, right? And that’s our plan – to better identify the health concerns of professional women so we can bring that expertise to YOU! So please fill out the survey now by pressing on the QR code, and forward to your friends so they can join in too.
Three lucky winners among those who fill out the survey will win free tickets to our upcoming events. We look forward to meeting you at one of them!
