The American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization representing nearly 1,000 U.S. companies operating across China, including most of the Fortune 500. The Chamber’s nationwide mission is to help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, insights, relationships, and business support services. With offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang, and Wuhan. AmCham China has 25 Working Groups and holds more than 300 events per year.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for Chairman’s Circle members’ senior executives’ annual programing and strategize the annual planning to maximize the value delivered.
  • Organize and execute the monthly Chairman’s Circle exclusive events in details from speakers and members’ invitation, budget control, venue set up, event rundown to brief the Chamber’s leadership and speech preparation.
  • Build and maintain a trusting relationship with Chairman’s Circle members’ staff, and follow up frequently to maintain the engagement.
  • Renew Chairman’s Circle membership through good preparation, communication and member relationship maintenance.
  • Input and maintain membership data in Microsoft Dynamics and GlueUP CRM systems.
  • Leverage existing and new data analytic tools to understand Chairman’s Circle membership engagement and trends, and provide annual reports.
  • Provide internal feedback based on member needs and connect members with other departments at the Chamber.
  • Identify potential issues coming from the members and alert internally across teams.
  • Assist Membership Director and Account Managers in recruiting new Chairman’s Circle members to achieve annual membership and revenue targets.
  • Coordinate and support other membership-related programs, events and promotional campaigns.
  • Assist in planning, execution and potentially lead/host membership department events.
  • Responsible for Medical Benefit Program (MBP) and Notary service by working with the partner and reaching our annual budget goal.
  • Work with MarComm team to create marketing campaigns to gain leads from MBP and assist Account Managers to close the recruitment.

Qualifications

  • At least Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of experience in event planning and organizing working experience, preferably with marketing, communication, PR or client / customer service role.
  • Experience in working with higher level of executives with excellent attention to details.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills via telephone, email and face-to-face meetings.
  • Has general Chinese market insights and a understanding of current geopolitical situation between China and the U.S.
  • A mature, pleasant, outgoing and enthusiastic team player.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications (PowerPoint, Teams, etc.), and enthusiasm to learn about CRM systems.
