The American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization representing nearly 1,000 U.S. companies operating across China, including most of the Fortune 500. The Chamber’s nationwide mission is to help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, insights, relationships, and business support services. With offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shenyang, and Wuhan. AmCham China has 25 Working Groups and holds more than 300 events per year.

This Job posting is for interns who are available to work starting from March, 2025.
Internship will last for a duration of at least 3 months.

The Member Services team is looking for a fluent English-speaking intern who is also comfortable working in Chinese. We are looking for individuals who can:

  • Conduct market and industry research in order to produce topics and content for our advocacy, industry, and community programs, and assist in the implementation of events;
  • Provide on-site support for regular and signature programs ranging from small executive breakfast events to larger 200+ attendee signature events;
  • Develop research reports and publications harnessing policy and industry insights from our programs to be published on our website, weekly newsletter, and quarterly magazine which is viewed by over 3,000 individuals across over 900-member companies – many of which are amongst the Fortune 500 category and emerging tech start-ups.

  • On which days of the week (excluding weekends) you can come to office, and the duration of your internship . Note: students are required to intern for at least three months (12 weeks) and be able to come in to the office at least three working days a week (days can be split into mornings or afternoons to accommodate class schedules).
  • Your nationality, and if you are an international student studying in mainland China , What is the type of visa you currently hold (e.g., X1/X2/student residence permit/F visa, etc.).
  • If you are not accepted or given an interview opportunity by the department you applied to, would you be willing to consider internship opportunities in other departments?
