On June 6, the Legal Affairs Committee of AmCham China hosted the event titled “2023 Outlook on US Export Controls and Economic Sanctions.” The event featured speakers Scott J. Palmer, Partner and Chair of the International Trade practice group at Perkins Coie LLP; Michael House, Partner at Perkins Coie LLP; and Shuaiqi Yuan, Senior Attorney at Perkins Coie LLP. The event aimed to assist international businesses operating in both the United States and China in navigating the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
Amid escalating tensions between the US and China, the event highlighted the use of export control and economic sanctions measures by the US government against China. Attendees were advised on the importance of adapting their international business strategies to effectively comply with the dynamic US regulatory environment.
