AmCham China Northeast Chapter joined two significant events in Changchun, Jilin Province, on August 22-23, bringing together key players from various sectors. First, the Chair of the AmCham China Northeast Chapter, Ladon Ghalili, attended the opening ceremony of the 14th China-Northeast Asia Expo, which aimed to promote regional collaboration and development. Concurrently, Northeast Chapter Manager Ripa Hovsepyan, in partnership with the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, explored opportunities for Chamber activities, membership growth, and collaboration in the region.

At the expo, Secretary of the Jilin Provincial Party Committee, Jing Junhai, and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, Hu Yuting both attended and gave remarks.
Secretary Jing Junhai took the opportunity to underscore the overarching theme of the Northeast Asia Expo, which seeks to facilitate collaborative development in the Northeast Asia region through future-oriented cooperation. This event plays a pivotal role as a platform for boosting trade and investment cooperation while fostering comprehensive growth in the region.
Later, Ghalili engaged in productive discussions with government officials, company representatives, and foreign delegations from various countries. He pledged to fortify ties with Jilin Province by encouraging exchanges and cooperation across diverse fields.
Visits to American Companies in Jilin
On the same day, Northeast Chapter Manager Ripa Hovsepyan, along with the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, embarked on visits to American companies and explored the region’s potential. They sought opportunities to expand chamber activities, increase membership, and identify prospects for collaboration in Jilin.
