AmCham China’s membership from the other services industry includes companies in law, human resources, accounting, marketing, and consulting. Of all industries surveyed, “other services” was the most hesitant about investment expansion in 2020. When responses to this survey were recorded in late 2019, nearly half of respondents said they were not planning to increase investments in 2020. Concerns about an uncertain Chinese policy environment and rising labor costs were the top two reasons for not increasing investments.
