More than 270 guests joined AmCham China's Central China Chapter for its Independence Day Celebration at Renaissance Wuhan Hotel on June 25. Public Affairs Officer Jamie Dragon, representing US Consulate General in Wuhan, attended the celebration with his family and cut the cake with Executive Committee members for the US's 240th birthday. John Ford, Executive Committee Chairman of the Central China Chapter gave the welcoming remarks and shared the progress that the chapter has made in promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Wuhan during the past half year. As ambassadors of CSR projects, students and teachers from Wuhan Blind School came to the event and gave a musical performance, which impressed guests with their talent and determination.
It wouldn't be a Wuhan 4th of July party without a watermelon eating contest and a lucky draw. The prizes this year included a roundtrip ticket from Wuhan to the US provided by Cathay Dragon and one night in Presidential Suite at Hilton Wuhan Riverside.
