On November 19, AmCham China’s HR Committee hosted a policy briefing at the Chamber’s Beijing offices, bringing together officials and professionals to discuss Entry-Exit Policies and the Beijing Permanent Residence Application process for foreign talent.
AmCham China Chair Roberta Lipson opened the event. In her remarks, she expressed her gratitude to the speakers and shared her enthusiasm for learning about the latest updates on visa policies and US-China student exchange programs, highlighting the value of face-to-face discussions and the opportunity to address pressing questions.
Officials from the Administration of Exit and Entry of the Beijing Public Security Bureau provided insights into the interpretation of policies related to Entry-Exit, Internship Visas, and Permanent Residence for foreign professionals and students. Following this, representatives from the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) introduced their work, including the Young Envoys Scholarship (YES) program. They emphasized their commitment to foster people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. Additionally, specialists from Beijing’s “Two Zones” initiative provided detailed guidance on permanent residence application processes and evaluations for foreign talent.
