Recently, AmCham China Chairman Colm Rafferty met with Ministry of Finance Vice Minister Liao Min and AmCham China President Michael Hart met with Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng of the People’s Bank of China.

Chairman Colm Meets with Ministry of Finance Vice Minister Liao Min

On November 22nd, AmCham China Chairman Colm Rafferty, AmCham China board members Sherry Carbary and Fernando Vallina, along with other member representatives met with Ministry of Finance (MOF) Vice Minister Liao Min.

Colm introduced the 2022 American Business in China White Paper (White Paper). The two sides the exchanged views on US-China trade and the economic relationship, as well as China’s foreign investment environment.

AmCham China President Meets with Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng of the People’s Bank of China

On November 18th, AmCham China’s Financial Services and Insurance Committee met with Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC). President Michael Hart and Co-chair of the Financial Services Committee Viki Huang led the Chamber’s delegation that included representatives from over 10 member companies.

During the meeting, Hart introduced the 2022 White Paper and the group presented key recommendations from the Banking and Capital Markets Chapter to the PBOC delegation.
