Policy Committee Co-Chair and AmCham China Vice Chair Travis Tanner then presented the outlook for 2025, highlighting the Chamber’s commitment to addressing pressing challenges such as tariff strategies, the implications of geopolitical shifts, and the need for robust engagement in an uncertain global economy. Tanner also emphasized the necessity of fostering mutual understanding between the US and China through actionable policy recommendations.
The townhall featured group discussions, providing members a platform to articulate their concerns and expectations. Key areas of focus included advocating for greater regulatory transparency, enhancing bilateral communication channels, and ensuring equitable treatment for foreign enterprises in China. These conversations will be directly reflected in our 2025 Policy Priorities.
In addition to setting advocacy goals, attendees collaborated on messaging strategies to address top challenges, such as sustaining business continuity amidst policy shifts and fostering innovation in response to emerging global trends.
In 2025, as with the previous years, AmCham China will remain committed to our core mission to help American companies succeed in China.
