Real estate management firm JLL recently celebrated 10 years of operations in Shandong, starting with the establishment of a branch in the coastal city of Qingdao. Since then, the Chicago-based company has expanded with Shandong and now operates across the province, including in the cities of Jinan, Yantai and Zibo.
“We started working with foreign companies coming into the province, but are now working with domestic firms and even consulting with state-owned enterprises and government,” said Eric Hirsch, Regional Director, Head of Markets, at JLL. “So for us it’s important to continue growing those ties both locally and internationally.”
Its services include real estate strategic advice, retail real estate, property and asset management, industrial real estate, integrated property sales, capital investment, and market research. With 30 professionals and more than 100 service staff, the Qingdao-based operations of JLL are now managing more than 20 projects across the province.
Hirsch, who is also an AmCham China board member, said events such as the AmCham China-Shandong Strategic Dialogue were a great vehicle to build on the company’s success.
“I’m glad that my managing director for Shandong is going to be here as well,” he said. “It’s really a way to enhance these relationships and extend our reach and position in working with companies in real estate.”
