On November 22, the AmCham China Northeast Chapter hosted “Dual Carbon Goals – A dialogue and forum on decarbonization”. Later on, during the afternoon of the same day, the Northeast Chapter also hosted a welcome reception for the new US Consul General of the US Consulate in Shenyang, Sara Yun.
With the support of the US Consulate in Shenyang, AmCham China’s Northeast Chapter provided a platform for US companies who are playing a leading role in realizing sustainability and environmental goals to showcase their achievements and exchange best practices for achieving low-carbon goals.
The event panel was moderated by William Toerpe, Principal Commercial Officer of the US Consulate General Shenyang. Panelists represented companies including, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Baker Hughes, Epoch, Pfizer, and BorgWarner. During the panel, the speakers discussed their respective organizations experience with decarbonization and shared dual carbon goal achievements.
Later in the afternoon, the AmCham China Northeast Chapter and northeast business community warmly welcomed the new US Consul General Sara Yun with a welcome reception. The reception began with welcome remarks from Ladon Ghalili, Chair of AmCham China Northeast Chapter. For her part, CG Yun introduced herself to the northeast business community and highlighted the importance of people-to-people exchanges between the US and China.
